Apple is preparing to make a qualitative shift in the world of phones, with the launch date of the anticipated iPhone 18 Pro series approaching in more than five months. Despite this long period that separates us from the official launch, rumors and leaks have begun to spread strongly, as initial reports indicated that these phones will come with Face ID technology completely integrated under the screen, leaving only the front camera visible, but the latest leaks confirm that only one component has been moved under the screen, which will reduce the size of the dynamic island.
This upcoming lineup features many aesthetic and design changes to provide an improved visual experience for users. Expectations indicate that a special and exclusive red color will be presented for these advanced models while maintaining the same general design language of the previous version, including screen sizes of 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, in addition to maintaining the same design of the back structure that includes the three cameras. The phones will rely on advanced LTPO+ screens to significantly save energy consumption and extend battery life.

The main camera comes with a resolution of 48 megapixels and supports the variable aperture feature, which allows users to precisely control the amount of light that passes through the lens to reach the sensor, which provides greater control over the depth of visual field during photography. Despite this innovative feature, the extent of its actual impact is still not completely clear due to restrictions related to the size of the small sensors used in phones in general.
These devices rely on powerful internal hardware that includes the next-generation A20 Pro chip, which relies on a 2-nm manufacturing accuracy from TSMC. The technical upgrades include the use of the new C2 chip, which is dedicated to cellular communications to provide higher speeds and better energy efficiency compared to previous generations. The phones will also be equipped with the advanced N2 chip that supports Wi-Fi 7 networks and Bluetooth 6 technology to greatly improve the overall performance and reliability of wireless communication.
The list of additional features includes a simplified camera control button that works without swipe gestures, along with design modifications to the back glass to enhance MagSafe charging. The phones support web browsing via satellite, with the possibility of increasing the thickness of the Pro Max version to accommodate a larger battery. These models are expected to be launched with Apple’s foldable phone during next September, followed by the launch of the standard version, an economical version, and the second generation of the Air version at the beginning of the following year to complete the lineup.
