Apple revealed nine new products this month while users continue to wait for the launch of the next generation of Apple TV 4K devices and HomePod mini smart devices. The two experts explained that the new versions of these devices have been fully ready for launch since last year, but Apple decided to postpone their launch until the completion of the development of the more customized version of the Siri voice assistant and the Apple Intelligence updates expected to be released later this year.
Apple stores around the world are witnessing a significant decrease in stock of current versions of these smart devices, which raises speculation about the approaching new launch date. The report indicated that the custom voice assistant features will reach users through the upcoming iOS 26.5 or iOS 27 update, and with expectations that the first beta version will be released to developers in late March or early April, experts are likely to announce these awaited devices at any time between late March and the end of September of this year.

Previous technical leaks indicate that the upcoming Apple TV will be equipped with the advanced A17 Pro chip to ensure superior and fast performance. This chip is considered the oldest processor that supports the new artificial intelligence technologies from the company, which makes it an ideal choice for this home device. Analysts also expect that the device will include the N1 chip dedicated to improving wireless communications and providing full support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 technologies for a more stable and advanced usage experience.
The HomePod mini mini device is receiving similar attention, as expectations indicate that it will be based on the S9 chip used in Apple smart watches or a later version of it. There are some questions about the ability of this chip to operate the advanced artificial intelligence features of the voice assistant, and other expected upgrades include the addition of the innovative N1 chip to significantly improve sound quality and the update of the ultra-wideband chip while providing a new and attractive red color option to meet different user tastes.
These expected updates come after a relatively long period of time since the launch of the current versions available in the market. Apple introduced the current Apple TV 4K for the first time in October 2022, while the launch of the HomePod mini dates back to October 2020, which makes both devices in dire need of these comprehensive and radical upgrades to keep pace with rapid technical developments and maintain their competitiveness in the smart home devices market.
