Samsung is close to providing a file sharing feature similar to AirDrop for older Galaxy phones, after signs of supporting it appeared within the Quick Share settings for some users.
The new feature works under the “Share with Apple Devices” option, but it is still not fully activated for everyone, which indicates that it is currently under testing, especially on devices running beta versions of One UI 8.5.

This feature also appeared on a number of Galaxy S phones from previous generations, such as the S25, S24, S23, and S22, whether on trial versions or even some older versions, which enhances the possibility of its official launch soon.
This step comes in light of a broader trend within the industry to open file sharing systems between different platforms, after regulatory pressure prompted Apple to expand support for its features, which encouraged companies such as Google and Oppo to provide similar solutions.
