The first early leaks revealed the design of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold phone, through 3D images based on CAD plans for developing accessories. These leaks indicate that the phone will not offer major changes in design compared to the previous generation.
It seems that Google will keep the island of off-center cameras almost the same, with a slight modification in its shape and the camera lenses protruding more clearly.
Some minor modifications to the outer frame also appear, while leaks indicate the possibility of adopting a shiny metallic finish instead of the matte finish used in previous generations, although this type of detail is not always accurate in CAD drawings.
In terms of dimensions, the phone is slightly thinner than the previous generation, as its thickness is 10.1 mm when folded and 4.8 mm when opened, compared to 10.8 mm and 5.2 mm in the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. However, it’s still thicker than some competing foldable phones.
Other leaks indicate the possibility of Google moving to use a modem from MediaTek instead of the Samsung modem currently used, in addition to the possibility of incorporating new facial recognition technologies, which may explain the continued thickness of the phone.
Google is expected to unveil the Pixel 11 series during next August, with more details becoming clear as the launch date approaches.
