New leaks indicate possible changes in the design of the Google Pixel 11 Pro XL phone, after the appearance of a protective cover said to be intended for the upcoming device.
If Google continues its usual launch schedule, it is expected to officially unveil the Pixel 11 series during next August. Although the announcement is still a long way off, some early leaks related to the design have already begun to appear.
The leaked protection cover reveals the possibility of reducing the prominence of the rear camera unit compared to what is found in the Pixel 10 Pro XL. However, it is still unclear whether this change means an increase in the thickness of the phone itself or the adoption of a different internal design that allows for a reduced camera protrusion.
The leaked images also indicate that the rear camera strip may become slightly wider, with a design closer to a rectangular shape instead of the oval shape that appeared in the previous generation.
Other reports indicate that the phone may also come with an infrared camera built under the screen, with the aim of providing secure facial recognition, a feature that may represent an important step in improving security technologies in upcoming Pixel phones.
