Today, Tuesday, the President of the Dilingat District Court in Beheira Governorate decided to place the accused of killing his brother and attempting to kill his brother’s wife in a mental hospital, in order to follow up on the accused and examine the extent of his mental powers during the commission of the crime, while preparing a medical report to present to the court.

Counselor Ahmed Sameh, the prosecutor of Al-Dilangat, decided to imprison the accused who ended his brother’s life for 4 days pending investigations, taking into account his renewal within the legal deadlines, against the backdrop of his killing of his brother, Imad Hamdi Rateb, 25 years old, and the attempt to kill the victim’s wife after stabbing her several penetrating stab wounds. She was transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment due to the accused being in a bad psychological state.
The Dillingat Prosecution had earlier decided to authorize the burial of the body of the victim, who was killed by his brother, due to the accused being in a bad psychological state, after presenting it to forensic medicine to determine the causes of death. It also assigned the Criminal Investigation Department of the Buhaira Security Directorate to quickly conduct the necessary investigations into the incident and its circumstances. A team from the Public Prosecution, headed by Counselor Mohamed Sobhi, Director of the Dillingat Prosecution, also moved to the scene of the incident to conduct an examination of the body.
The village of Al-Raqwa, affiliated with the Dalingat Center in Beheira Governorate, witnessed an unfortunate incident in which a young man in his thirties was killed, while his wife suffered a penetrating wound to the chest and various abrasions to the body, after the victim’s brother assaulted them with a knife due to the defendant’s psychological disorder and his suffering from a psychological crisis.
The body was kept at the disposal of the investigating authorities, while the injured person was transferred to the General Hospital to receive the necessary treatment. The necessary report was prepared and is being presented to the investigating authorities to take the necessary legal measures.
