Hind Abdel Halim, Deputy Governor of Giza, participated in the 2025 Global Mayors Dialogue, which is hosted by the city of Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu Province, located in eastern China, on behalf of Eng. Adel Al-Najjar, Governor of Giza.

The Deputy Governor of Giza explained that the global dialogue of mayors, which was launched under the name “Civilizations Renewed on the Banks of the Yangtze River,” witnessed the participation of officials from 10 cities around the world, which included, in addition to China, Egypt, Brunei, Germany, Italy, Serbia, Namibia, Malaysia, Mexico, and Nepal, in addition to cities from the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, to discuss the future of cities overlooking waterfronts and rivers.

The Deputy Governor of Giza confirmed that the event represents a unique opportunity to promote tourist destinations in the governorate, most notably the Grand Egyptian Museum, as well as highlighting the investment opportunities available within Giza Governorate.

The activities also included field visits to archaeological monuments in the city of Nanjing, to learn about the efforts of the Chinese government in protecting cultural heritage and to present successful experiences in this field.
The activities began with the launch of a celebration around the Nanjing Ceramic Tower, one of the most prominent symbols of traditional Chinese architecture, where the tower was illuminated with the names of the participating cities, including Giza Governorate, and the activities will continue until Friday.
