Major General Muhammad Al-Daya, the personal companion of the late Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, revealed for the first time important historical information regarding the killing of the former Palestinian President, Yasser Arafat, according to Al Arabiya channel.

Al-Daya confirmed in an exclusive interview, via the Mazej network affiliated with Al-Arabiya channel, that Abu Ammar’s death was the result of deliberate poisoning through medication.

He also indicated that the finger of blame is directed towards people close to the late Abu Ammar, describing what happened as a conspiracy

Speaking to the “Beyond the Seventh” podcast on the Al Arabiya Network’s Mazej platform, Al-Daya revealed secret meetings and interviews that Arafat held with prominent Israeli officials in Tel Aviv and Gaza, including former Prime Minister Ehud Barak.

In addition, the meeting, which was broadcast in two parts, discussed the scenes of the signing of the Oslo Accords, as Al-Daya denied what was circulated at the time about the late Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak directing insults at Arafat during the signing.

He also talked about the nature of the relationship between Abu Ammar and the Hamas movement, stressing that the late Palestinian leader supported the movement and provided it with support.

It is noteworthy that the Palestinian leader and head of the Palestinian National Authority died on November 11, 2004 in Bercy Military Hospital near Paris, after his health condition suddenly deteriorated in late October of the same year, following a long siege imposed by Israel on his headquarters in Ramallah since 2002.

As for the cause of death, it remains a matter of great controversy to this day. While official French medical reports indicated that death resulted from severe cerebral hemorrhage resulting from blood disorders, Palestinian sources spoke of the hypothesis of poisoning, according to Al Arabiya.
