Earlier, lawyer Nihad Abu Al-Qumsan said that the Seventh Circuit, an administrative judiciary in the State Council, will consider on November 23 the appeal submitted against the Minister of Education’s decision to oblige students of international certificates to take the Arabic language and history exams prescribed by the Ministry, and to obtain 20% of the total grades as a condition for admission to Egyptian universities.

Abu Al-Qumsan indicated that the appeal calls for a halt to the implementation of the decision due to the sudden burden it represents on students of international certificates and their families, stressing that the lawsuit is based on the fact that the decision was issued without adequate study of its impact on the students’ academic and university path.

She continued: The court is scheduled to hear the arguments of both parties in the session scheduled to decide on the request to stop the implementation of the decision until the appeal is decided.
